01/ THE PROBLEM

The local food ecosystem is fragmented.

Local production matters, but production alone is not enough. Producers need predictable demand and viable routes to market. Consumers need local food that earns their trust and fits everyday life.

A vulnerable supply system

External shocks can disrupt food supply, costs and availability but we cannot demand fulfillment of local needs as a food-security effort.

Producers carry the risk

Farmers invest before harvest, while demand, pricing and customer relationships may remain uncertain.

Consumers have little visibility

Interest in local food rests on clearer dependable quality, accessibility and competitive value

Everything you need to know before investing

What is BUNU?

BUNU is a producer-first digital platform connecting farmers, local food producers and communities through discovery, harvest reservations, direct trade, educational experiences and recurring memberships.

What problem does it solve?

Local food markets are fragmented. Producers often lack visibility and direct customer relationships, while consumers struggle to discover local farms, products and experiences. BUNU aims to bridge that gap.

What makes BUNU different from a conventional marketplace?

BUNU goes beyond individual transactions. It connects producer discovery, future-harvest reservations, education and community participation, creating opportunities for lasting relationships and repeat business.

Is the platform ready to launch?

Yes! Our launch date is November 26, 2026. Don't forget to join our newsletter to be informed.

How does BUNU generate revenue?

BUNU has three proposed revenue streams: commissions on harvest reservations, product sales and educational activities; Premium Producer Memberships offering onboarding, marketing and support; and platform subscriptions providing enhanced member benefits.

Where will BUNU launch, and what is its expansion strategy?

BUNU's initial market is the UAE, with nationwide digital access envisioned from launch. Saudi Arabia is the preferred next market, followed by potential expansion across the wider GCC, subject to commercial and regulatory readiness.

Is BUNU profitable?

BUNU is pre-profitability and investing in producer acquisition and market growth. Our asset-light, commission-based model is designed to generate revenue without owning agricultural inventory, complemented by recurring producer memberships and platform subscriptions.

What is BUNU's growth potential?

BUNU's model is designed to serve producers of different sizes and support multiple revenue opportunities through one platform. Its potential for growth depends on producer adoption, customer demand, repeat transactions and successful market expansion.

How does BUNU help farmers generate extra income?

BUNU aims to help producers reach new customers, secure demand earlier through harvest reservations, sell products directly and monetize their knowledge through farm visits, workshops and educational activities.

How does your product work?

By improving connections between local producers and consumers, BUNU seeks to strengthen market access, demand visibility and commercial relationships within the local food ecosystem. It does not eliminate agricultural production risks.

What is the minimum investment amount?

Our proposed minimum investment is US$25,000 (approximately AED 91,800). BUNU is currently working with an indicative AED 6 million pre-money valuation, with an illustrative AED 2 million funding round. Final investment terms, equity participation and transaction structure will be subject to negotiation and definitive agreements.

What is the current valuation and equity offered?

BUNU is seeking to raise AED 2 million at an indicative pre-money valuation of AED 6 million (approximately US$1.63 million), implying a post-money valuation of AED 8 million. The proposed round would offer investors a combined 25% equity stake, with ownership allocated proportionally to their investment. Final terms are subject to negotiation, legal structuring and definitive agreements.

What would investment in BUNU support?

Funds will be deployed across three areas: (1) Product & technology — AI engine and farmer onboarding tools; (2) B2B distribution — executing Phase 2 integration and building the enterprise sales pipeline; (3) Marketing — performance campaigns to accelerate consumer acquisition in the UAE.

What is the exit strategy

Our primary exit paths are acquisition by a regional agri-food group, grocery retailer, or digital commerce platform; or a Series A/B institutional raise that could provide secondary liquidity. The UAE's US$18.2bn grocery retail market and BUNU's strategy to build a network of producer relationships, direct trade and recurring revenue could position us as an attractive acquisition target for players such as Silal, LuLu Retail, or Majid Al Futtaim Retail.

How can investors participate?

BUNU is exploring investment and strategic partnership opportunities. The proposed corporate and investment arrangements remain subject to legal review, definitive agreements and applicable regulatory requirements. Interested parties may contact the team to request further information.
